How to Slay Your Content Game

Two major, but seemingly disconnected events, occurred over the past week or so. First, OpenAI launched their new flagship model called Chat GPT-4o (the ‘o’ stands for “omni”). Second, Instagram announced it is going to change its ranking algorithm to give smaller creators more distribution.

So how is each of these going to affect your online business? Let’s look at each one in turn:

Chat GPT-4o

OpenAI claims that Chat GPT-4o is a step closer to natural, seamless interaction that includes real-time reasoning across text, audio, and images. Have a look at this OpenAI reel here which shows ChatGPT audio in action.

OpenAI has clearly prioritised voice in this latest model. Why? A more human-sounding voice is important to us as human beings. In other words, a personal voice matters.

Instagram

Jumping across to the other event: Meta’s Instagram is changing its algorithm. According to Social Sam, IG now wants content creators to produce longer videos. Apparently the ‘sweet spot’ is 30-90 seconds, as short 10-second reels are not considered engaging enough. There will also be an emphasis on keywords and hashtags to help the algorithm distribute your content to those non-followers interested in your topic.

This means you’re going to have to rejig your formatting for your reels again. That can either mean laboriously going through and manually switching up everything. Or perhaps you’ve been using some pre-scripted AI prompts; but will these still work once the algorithm gets switched over?

How are these things related? 🤔

These two seemingly disparate events are not only related, they can actually work together in your favour.

First, as emphasised by OpenAI, you need to create content in a personalised voice – either your voice, or your brand profile’s voice. This is the only way your message is going to get attention. Using presets on ChatGPT can help you write content in your own voice.

Second, you need to be able to quickly pivot whenever Instagram’s algorithm changes. Instead of spending hours to recreate your videos, hooks and captions, wouldn’t it be great if, by only typing in a few key words, a month’s worth of content is automatically written out for you in a matter of minutes?

Effortlessly Pivot Your Instagram Strategy with AI

These changes seem to be straightforward enough in principle, but you’re a busy woman – you have enough to do!

By setting up AI to write in your own voice, things like IG algorithm changes can be easily dealt with, in minimal time:

💡 Brainstorm with AI to get more longer reel ideas

✍️ Use AI to help write your hooks and captions – in your own voice

🔍 Use AI to help determine your keywords and hashtags

Integrating AI into your social media routine can save you valuable time and boost your content’s effectiveness, all while maintaining your unique voice.

For solopreneurs and small businesses like yours, this means more efficient and scalable content production, helping you stay ahead in the competitive digital marketing landscape.
